Today's look for work

I found mixing two of my favourite lipsticks together created a gorgeous nude brown/pinky look which I love! Layering different colours really does make a difference! Maybeline lipstick in 109 and no7 in rumour x

Nails

I found this amazing DIY craft pin on Pinterest and thought I'd give it a go and was amazed with the results! Paint your nails with your base colour. Once dry dip your nail in alcohol and then press newspaper onto the finger nail and the print transfers straight onto the nail. Then put your clear top coat on top to protect the print. The base colour I used was Avon nail wear pro+ in perfectly flesh. X

London buys

I bought these three items in London yesterday, Two revlon lip butters and a photo ready primer as they were on offer 3 for 2. Loads of ppl have been raving about the lip butters on you tube so I definitely wanted to give them ago and so far I love the texture and colour they give off! Although its v early days! I definitely think they will be perfect for work as they aren't over the top colours! I have been searching for an affordable yet decent primer for a while and I definitely loved the effects of using the revlon primer under my foundation today I have v big pores and using this primer really evened out my skin texture and made it less caked and more flawless! Other primers have let me down in the past and just moisturiser on its own doesn't give makeup staying power. Without the primer I become shiny but today I wore this primer and took my son to a wacky warehouse type play area and joined in on the fun and my makeup is still in the same place and still matt. Even after all the sweating x

New boots

I bought these because I've been looking for a nice wellie but unfortunately I have wide ankles so I tried on these boots! They look so much better on with skinny jeans tucked in and they are so light! Fluffy lined so they are cosy too! Really pleased I bought these its snowed today so I get to wear them already! X

Random buys

I find it so exciting to order bargains offline and end up getting loads of packages to open when the postman comes round. Here are a few of my latest buys.... Random I know! I bought a pair of aviator glasses always wanted to see what I look like with them on but didn't wanna spend loads just in case I hated them! I got these for £1 and if I like them I might commit to a more expensive pair... I'm not sure yet tho. I also bought a foundation brush everyone seems to rave about them so I thought I'd give it a go . The paper clasps I bought because I read an pin on Pinterest and there was 30 things you can do with them. I just had to try... Sad I know. Oh and last but not least contacts cases and not for the obvious reason these little cases were cheap and are air tight. They are also nice and small so u can put your medication or creams you need into them and pop them in your bag whilst travellng.

Why use your fourth finger when blending makeup?

One of the questions I always asked. I never understood why my nan always used to say use your forth finger and you see people always doing the same on you tube videos. I never used to do it as it felt odd and never had an explanation until now. Your forth finger is much weaker and therefore doesn't pull the skin on delicate areas of your face. Straight away I was like ok hmmm.... But it's true tap your face with your first finger then do the same with your fourth and you will feel the difference x

Pinterest. Not new for most of you out there but I can't seem to put my phone down the DIY and craft are great I definitely recommend it to everyone I've already done a few of the craft ideas x
